“I just wanted to let you know how fortunate I feel to have 3 AMAZING teachers for my boys at your center. When we started out with Ms. Latiffa I couldn’t believe our good fortune. She is one of the most caring and thoughtful teachers (person in general) I have ever known. She treats her students like her own. Dropping your child off is always difficult, but when you are leaving them in the care of someone like Ms. Latiffa you feel reassured knowing your child is probably in better hands then he would be with me😊😊😊 Now that Ms. Ashlee has teamed up with Ms. Latiffa in Graham’s classroom I smile even more broadly when I drop Graham off!
I now have 2 more children in the center with Mary Lou. It almost brings tears to my eyes to write this, but the way she interacts with my babies – talking to them, smiling, playing with them is so sincere. I couldn’t ask for anything more from a teacher than to love my children the way she seems to.
Just wanted to let you know that your center is so fortunate to have these folks on your team and I am so appreciative of all they do for my family.”

“We had visited multiple daycares when we first moved to Hershey. Although there were newer and “more fancy” facilities out there (indoor gym for our very non-physical toddler), we felt a sense of comfort and “hominess” with Tender Years that we did not feel on our visits to other daycares. The Director exudes a warmth that we have felt nowhere else.
We have been so happy with our care through thick and thin. Even when Hershey was flooding a few years ago and we had to fight through flooded streets to get there, the Director and her staff assured us that the kids would be safe and they would wait for us to arrive, although I am sure they wanted to leave to find their way home as well.
My kids clearly feel the love and warmth from their teachers, which is invaluable as a parent. It is hard to trust others to care for your children, especially infants, when you wish as a parent you could do it yourself. But I have been so happy with their care, and have watched my kids grow, develop and thrive.
The teachers are very receptive to my daily sign our about the night/morning before drop-off, and always follow up on any concerns.

“Tender Years, Inc. is hands down the best childcare center in the area! The teachers are excellent. They are very attentive and compassionate and treat your children as if they are their own. The director (Kim) is very approachable and responsive, always does her best to help you in any way she can! The facility is new, very large, secure and clean. The playground is amazing and there are plenty of age appropriate toys and supplies in each classroom. My boys LOVE it there and I love knowing that my children are being cared for and taught by top-notch teachers at a fantastic center. Check it out. You’ll love it too!!”

“Mrs. Lauver (Kindergarten teacher) has had a lasting impression and a positive impact on all three of our children (and one more coming). The Kindergarten class at Tender Years starts them off on the right foot. It doesn’t just prepare them for 1st grade; it teaches them to love learning. This is priceless. The one on one attention pays off. I firmly believe that spending the extra money on a solid educational foundation that will last their entire life is money well spent. I’d rather spend the extra money now and invest in my children early on to shape their learning habits, instead of waiting to invest in them and needing to spend much more later on. Her class sets the foundation for their educational expectations – and it’s an exceptional foundation – worth every cent.”

“Great facility! The teachers are warm, caring, and hard working. Our daughter was there from 6 months to age 2 when we had to move for work. She loved her teachers! The director is flexible and easy to work with. Lunch meals are available if needed which was great! I definitely recommend this center :) we definitely miss Tender Years!”

“As a parent of two Tender Years children, I am very pleased to say that I have never regretted choosing Tender Years to care for my children. The staff has been fantastic, and they are all obviously doing what they love to do. They are always positive and happy to see my children come through the door. They interact positively with all the children, and are responsive to my children’s daily needs. Once I mentioned that after school I was going to be taking my daughter to her great-grandmother’s 80th birthday party, and the staff helped my daughter make a ‘project’ for her to take to her Nana’s party – what a nice surprise! I have repeatedly recommended Tender Years to other parents, and now that my son is also enrolled and we are having the same positive experiences, I will continue to do so. Please consider letting Tender Years care for your wonderful children, and I believe you will be pleased you did!”

“We feel very fortunate to have found such a warm and wonderful daycare. Over the past 3+ years, it has been amazing to watch our son learn and grow through the nurturing care of Tender Years, Inc. The dedicated staff, combined with fun and educational classroom structure, has truly made a positive impact on our family. We couldn’t imagine our son going anywhere else!”

“We currently have a 4 and 6 year old who have attended various child care centers throughout the area while growing up. Tender Years Walden (Mechanicsburg) is absolutely the best center we have attended.
Facility – As soon as you walk in the brand new building, the first thing you notice is how clean, bright and inviting the space is. Each child care room has huge windows letting in so much natural light for the kids. There are plenty of appropriate decorations and learning aids throughout each room. The kid’s bathrooms are so cute, clean and easy for kids to use. All children change their outside shoes for inside shoes each day so the center’s rugs in the classroom are very clean.
Play – My 4 year old actually gets upset with me when I pick her up too early and she doesn’t get enough Tree House play time with her friends. The tree house is a huge multistory play area with slides, ladders, ropes, tire swing. Kids love it. The outdoor space has a rubber ground with a very modern playground.
Staff – By far the most important part of every center is its Staff. We have been to places where every 4 weeks there is a new staff member teaching our kids because they were either fired, let go or they quit the previous day without little notice to parents. Every center will have turnover but Tender Years seems to have the same staff since we started. I can only imagine how stressful it must be taking care of so many of other people’s children each day. Tender Years staff REALLY do seem to care, not making that up. I wouldn’t write it if it wasn’t true.
Director – Wow! She is great. Kim is there every day before we get there and after we pick up the kids in the evening. I don’t know how she has the energy. She knows everything, fills in when needed in each room. I even think she ‘sneaks’ into the infant room to take a break and hold a napping baby every now and then. Keep up the good work.
We highly recommend Tender Years and think you will be happy with your children attending.”

“Both of my children have been going to Tender Years for 3yrs, and have been very impressed with all of the teachers. Many have worked there for many years. I am very involved in my children’s lives, and I trust the time I must be away from them to Tender Years.”

“Tender Years has been an absolute wonderful place for our daughter. Not only is the school an excellent place, but Kim and her staff have created a second home for our little girl. Our daughter, Josie, was adopted from China and joined our family when she was 4 years old. As a result, she has had to overcome many obstacles and challenges. When we were looking for a place for Josie to attend preschool, Kim was there to lend support and help transition her in a very gentle and supportive way. Kim and Tender Years were there even before we brought our daughter to the US and talked to us about making a transition plan for Josie. It couldn’t have gone any better. Josie started visiting the school once a week, and when she was comfortable, she started attending every day. It is such a joy to see her so happy with all her new friends, and we can’t even begin to tell you how terrific her teachers are! Josie just loves her Tender Years family and her school. At this point, we wouldn’t even think of sending her to another child care center. Tender Years is a wonderful place for your child to grow and learn. We highly recommend Tender Years if you are looking for a safe and enriching place for your child to spend part of his or her day.”

“We tried over several daycares in the area but weren’t satisfied until we enrolled our children with Tender Years in Mechanicsburg. Our twins absolutely LOVE this daycare. You will not find a more compassionate, caring group of teachers and staff. The owner Miss Kim is very easy to talk to and the teachers genuinely love each and every child. The facility is new, safe, secure, clean and the playground is awesome. Their lunches are delicious and healthy and their curriculum is outstanding. Our kids learn everything from science, to Spanish to sign language to math. I know other parents from our old daycare that also switched to Tender Years. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!!!”

“We wanted to take a moment to thank the teachers at Tender Years. Our son has been enrolled since he was 6 months old. Every parent is reluctant to leave their child and entrust someone else with their wellbeing, but from day one we were at ease, and three and half years later we couldn’t be more comfortable bringing him to “school” every day. Every teacher that our son has had we have loved. They are always quick to tell us something about his day, good or bad, that they know we would be interested in hearing. How they can remember little things about every child still amazes me. The teachers not only make suggestions to us when asked, but are always eager to hear suggestions from parents. The classroom activities that are planned for the children everyday encourage a fun learning environment. Our son is continually sharing what he has learned and I couldn’t be more pleased with the progress he is making. The engaging curriculum, the care the teachers have and the love and concern they show reinforces to us that Tender Years is the exact environment for our son. Thank you!”

“We have been a Tender Years family for 11 years and plan to come back for a few more years of summer camp. When we started looking for a childcare facility in 2001, Tender Years was priced competitively, had experienced caregivers, and was the bright, cheerful setting we wanted for our baby. Over the years, as one child became two and the kids grew, Tender Years become so much more. The owners, director and teaching staff work very hard to provide a nurturing, fun, safe environment for learning. Our girls have excelled; and both started public school well ahead of the curve — confident and ready to take on new challenges. Childcare is a necessity for most parents these days. Feeling good about your choice of caregivers and having peace of mind throughout your work day are very important. Tender Years gave our family both.”

“My daughter, Isabella, was one of their first students. She started in the summer so she could get acquainted with the staff and other students before starting kindergarten in the fall of 2013. As a working single mom, I felt the guilt that I couldn’t give my daughter a summer like I had growing up. Tender Years relieved me of that guilt, providing her with trips to the pool, wonderful arts and crafts, learning opportunities, ice cream from a weekly ice cream truck, and more fun than I would expect from a summer camp. Bella was more than prepared and ready when she started kindergarten half a day at Tender Years as well as bussed over to a CV elementary school. Tender Years escorted my daughter to the bus and was always outside waiting for the bus on the return, even in the rain with umbrellas! The entire staff was welcoming and very warm. The facility is under good hands with Kim as management.
We’re now in the DC area and have realized the value of the education received at Tender Years, now that we can compare. Tender Years was superior to the CV schools in preparing Bella for elementary school. It was her experience with Tender Years, not the CV school that better prepared her for first grade. She’s now starting second grade in the next few weeks…and is just as enthusiastic as she was on her first day at Tender Years. Thank you to the staff and teachers for giving this little girl a wonderful educational and fun start to her school future. I can’t say enough good things about this place, I highly recommend it. Tender Years has a warm place in our heart…thanks for having Bella as a student.”

“Just wanted to give you a big hug to you and your staff. We had Caroline’s Kindergarten orientation last night at school and the K teacher went over the year’s curriculum. She said they would start with shapes, colors, letters and the year would progress until they went through 60 sight words. Well, I went on the teacher’s web site and printed out the 60 sight words last night, Caroline went through the entire list without a problem and rattled off every single one. We did an entire year’s homework in one night. Please give a big pat on the back to Ms. Tana and Ms. Beth in the Pre K readiness program Caroline attended. Way to go!”
