At Tender Years, we’re proud of our well rounded Summer Camp program. We do a lot to ensure that our youngsters aren’t just staying occupied during the summer, but that they continue to develop essential skills for school success. Occasionally, we have opportunities to go well beyond this objective, and help our kids help others in the communities we serve.
Our Camp Hill center was recently acknowledged by The Sentinel newspaper for doing this with our Summer Reading Program!
Each Monday, our campers grabbed their books and headed over to spend time with the senior residents at the Susquehanna View Apartment complex. For our kids, the exercise helped them improve their reading skills. For the residents, it was a time to enjoy fun stories and smiling company. It’s been wonderful for everyone involved!
